🌷🌻🌷 Eligibility Pays, not wish!!
Once upon a time,
there lived a Bramharishi. He was well-known for his Bramhavidya. Before leaving this world, he thought that this
knowledge of Bramhavidya should be passed
down in right hands so that the wisdom of truth and knowledge continues to
survive on this planet.
Among hundreds of
his disciples, he chose only a special group of five and gave them Bramhavidya and advised them use it with
gratitude and for social upliftment.
The role of Bramharishi
was over so eventually after a few years he left his body and took samadhi.
The five
disciples that he chose were very honest, sincere and hardworking. They spread
the knowledge of Bramhavidya to
thousands of people without any selfish intention. And then all those people praised
them, touched their feet and called them Guru.
One fine night, while
travelling through a dark forest they were bitten by a cobra. They pleaded all
the people over there to help them but no one came to their rescue. And
eventually, all five of them died on the spot.
The souls of
those of five disciples reached heaven where they found Bramharishi sitting before them calmly and quietly.
They asked Bramharishi, “Your Bramhavidya doesn’t hold any power. We transformed the lives of so
many people but we couldn't save ours. We helped and supported so many people
but not a single one of them came to rescue us. Why? We taught exactly what you
had taught us with full sincerity and honesty. We were on their service 24X7
with no selfish intentions. Did we really deserve this unnatural death?
Bramharishi silently
looked in their eyes and replied, "My son, it’s very true that you
imparted 100% of the knowledge that I passed on to you with complete honesty
and sincerity. You did a selfless service in transforming thousands of lives. But…
Did you practice ‘Gratitude’ while imparting Bramhavidya?
As I recall, I did inform you of this while giving attenuation.
Do you recall any
incidence where you took your Guru’s name
while imparting Bramhavidya?
Do you recall any
moment, when you informed the others that it is your Guru’s Bramhavidya who had imparted that knowledge to you and that
it is not your own?
All of you said,
"We" uplifted / transformed people’s lives. This is your Ego
speaking.
My son, this
Vidya that I taught was acquired by me from Bramhadev.
I was a mere student too. I did not create it. But I never projected myself as a
giver but rather as a blessed channel.
Your ego and over
confidence can lead you to an unnatural death. It is the law of the nature ‘If
you do not express gratitude for what you got you will start losing what you
have’.
