🌷🌺🌷JIHAD ....the war with oneself!!
Loosing or winning should not be taken very seriously. We would never become too full off our achievements or delve in self criticism due to failure because nothing lasts forever. Neither does a person keeps on winning throughout his life, nor does he stay a loser forever.
Therefore,
winning or losing from others, does not matter at all.
What is more
important is fighting the war within. Question yourself, can you fight the
demon within? If you win there, you would emerge a true winner.
Every moment of
our day is spent questioning our thoughts, beliefs and actions, depending on
the people we met and the situations we encounter.
Why do we
struggle so much within? Contradictions between the heart and the mind is the
cause behind such struggles.
Sometimes we do
accept, sometimes we don’t.
For example, we
all know in order to double our income, all we need to do is spent two more
hours a day to make money. But even
though we are aware of the things to do, we spend all those precious hours
ogling at the TV or spend hours chatting on the phone.
We also know that
spending just two hours with our family members can resolve several of the
issues we happen to face. But often we tend to devote the time to other
activities which are not exactly necessary for healthy and peaceful living.
We know that
devoting two hours to our health and bodies can give us a life free of
medicines and health-related expenses. But, we keep on complaining about the
limited time we have in a day, when actually we have 24 hours in a day to
spare! Those who use those hours efficiently, turn into billionaires and become
highly successful.
JIHAD should
truly be about winning over our bad habits and following a sincere and ethical
path towards reaching our goals. This war is a tough one as we only truly fight
our own selves. But, as we all know and understand, nothing is impossible. All,
one needs to do in order to reach his goals is be disciplined enough and be
true to one self.
Winning the war
within is more important than winning the war in the outside world. Once we
manage to win with our own selves, no other battles out there would appear formidable.
Being a better person enables one to gather the energy required to survive the
going outside.
So, how can we
hope to win the Jehad? Well, it is easier to understand, but difficult to
implement. Start the day with an activity that your mind and body resists. Like
kundalini yoga. Make it a habit to perform kundalini yoga (along with asanas)
after waking up every morning. Follow this by a gratitude walk before sunrise.
This way the body gets a strict command every day to follow a certain routine.
Your sub-conscious mind would be urged to do them every day and you would end
up controlling the body instead of the body controlling you.
Once you win over
your body in the beginning of the day, the entire day your body will listen to
you. Gradually, your body, your mind and thoughts would be under your control.
It might surprise you to know that 95% of people in the world live in their comfort zones and never put in any effort to break free of the shackles of laziness and mundane activities. Those who train their bodies and minds accordingly, never end up losing..
